binding question

I have 3 or 4 "hair clip thingies" in my battered old sewing tin and I just turn and clip in front of where I am sewing. As I get to a clip, I move it forward to the front. I have never found any need to turn and pin an entire turned border on straight edges. Curvev can be another matter of course.

No pins, don't need them. Just turn and sew as I go. If there's a straight pin anywhere nearby, it's bound to enter my palm. Roberta in D
