Yes! I'd suffered for 10 years, thinking it was my IBS playing up, and in the end it put me in hosptal, on intravenous antibiotics! Once the acute inflamation was gone and they could operate without the risk of peritonitus, they took it out. My gall stone was so large it was ALMOST not keyhole surgery - the surgeion said it was a church door keyhole! ;) I was left with 4 small scars and an inability to process fats properly, which was in part due to the long term effects of the gall bladder disease.

Five or so years on, I'm relatively OK so long as I watch what I eat. Most people can go back to eating a normal diet with no problems. I was just unlucky. However, I recovered fairly quickly and it's a hell of a lot better than it was before!

What were your symptoms. This has happened a number of times and even hospitalized (5X) where they said they could find nothing. His symptoms were nausea, extreme fatigue, queasiness, pain in chest, temp ranging from 95º to 102.7º. He has passed out 1X and doc says his eyes show a bit yellow, has white cells in his blood so he goes for more tests, MRI or whatever is needed.

I generally don't use this method of making binding, but I did once when I used a striped fabric and I wanted the binding to show the stripes on the diagonal. It turned out very nicely. It does take longer but it was well worth the extra effort. Most of my quilts have straight edges so I use the straight strip method.
