Instructions for Judy Hopkins' ScrapMaster

Would anybody happen to have instruction for Judy Hopkins' ScrapMaster? I was recently re-gifted with a ScrapMaster. I'm assuming it's a re-gift because there are no instructions. While it's a lot like my Wonder Cut Ruler, it's not exactly like it and I'd really like to be able to use this little ruler. It looks incredibly useful.

The only instructions mine had were on an insert in the plastic ziploc bag it came in. It is indeed useful for cutting HSTs, to make HST squares up to 3" finished. There are parallel lines for cutting strips the right width for the relevant HSTs, but this is easier with a real ruler. If you send me an email, I can scan what I have and send it to you next week, if you want. (Leaving on a trip very shortly!) But it really is pretty intuitive. I never needed the instructions.

Thanks to all who replied, both on group and privately. I've got a solution and will pursue it. Roberta, I envy your ability so much I can't even express my feelings except to say that I'm totally jealous. I have never in my life understood anything having to do with measuring or cutting or dealing with geometry intuitively. I try. I study my equipment and read instructions, but as soon as I put it away, it's gone from my head. I'm saving your explanation of a way to save fabric while making triangles. I will have to look at the ruler and read at the same time. My sons tell me I have zero spatial ability. I think they may be right.

Sunny gratefully

several pages into the google results there was a website with an image of the instructions from the scrapmaster packet. shows how to line up the ruler and cutting on scraps. i couldnt find pix of how to use the ruler on marshas site. for some of us it would be intuitive, not for me til i saw the instructions. then it was a 'doh' moment. a bit like when we're watching 'millionaire' on tv, dh says that was so easy for that $ amount. sure things are easy when you know the answer, not always when ya dont and cant figure it out without some pix. that was my problem, without the pix i just looked at the ruler without a clue. i do that a lot tho. j.

Sandy, I found Marsha's site. But the instructions for using the ruler aren't there. The instructions she provides are for using her patterns

-- it's a good bit different. Then a little aside tells you that instructions for the ruler are included in the package. Now that I have the instructions, the ruler is pretty easy to use. But I have to see something first before I can make it work in my hands.
