Everyone needs a quick project now and then....

Last spring I ran across a lovely preprinted panel of spring flowers and things at a LQS here and couldn't resist buying it, though I haven't often used preprinted things before. Over the long weekend, with DH away at a golf tournament, I needed a quick project that wouldn't take much thinking , so I got this out. I found a perfect border fabric in my stash and used free-motion quilting with rayon threads to accent many of the motifs on the panel and to do a daisy chain in the border. The wall hanging was finished last night and looks pretty nice in our dining area -- even though it's not spring right now. ;) It's on my Miscellaneous page (why are so many of my projects ending up as miscellaneous??) at, right under the Ramada Galsquilt.

Finished is good. Fun is equally good. Finished is slightly more useable. Im aiming for a nice balance. Fun usually wins tho! haha Im with you, a new fun project is worth the pile of UFOs! Diana

They're addictive, aren't they? I made several, too, and used them as gifts.

And here I thought I was the only person using an unfinished quilt. Its quilted, I just never got around to binding it. Its the quilt that all the siggys are getting inserted into. Diana

Sandy, I also saw some that were cats, pigs, cows and mice. I bought tiny little pompoms to make the cheeks and little buttons for the noses of the pigs.
