I know what you mean! I've been twiddling with my line drawings for a while now, just working up to that first cut. LOL!

Wow! I googled it! It's amazing! Doesn't it do you good to feel that connection with women from long ago who toiled over their quilts just as we toil over ours?

I did! I did google it! What a brilliant subject: as you say, the Cosmati paving just cries out to be replicated in fabric! I hope you'll post updates of your design process?
