Gifts for My Hospice Class

I have been attending a Hospice course to be a volunteer - it's a wonderful course for sure. Tomorrow night is our last class with a social hour after ... I made up potholders in the log cabin design to give to everyone, and I'm trying to think of an appropriate something to say - short and sweet - to let them all know how much I've enjoyed being wih each and every one of them - even the *leader* said she's never had class that more or less *clicked* so fast. Anyone got any ideas so I could make up little tags to attach to the potholders. We here in the Maritimes are known for our kitchen parties, so that's where the potholder idea came from. (does that make sense?) I was thinking something like - "Thanks for touching my life in a very special way." Does that sound too corny????

I think that's beautiful. God bless Hospice Workers. They made my mother's last days as comfortable for her as possible and let her pass in her own home with her family around her the way she wanted to.

That's not a bit corny, Sharon. It's a sweet tribute to some folks who made up an enjoyable and strengthening group.

Gee, giving something that relates to hospitality seems right--all about helping others.

Happy quilting!

Thanks everyone - I just don't want to come across gushy-mushy. They are all fantastic people. Tonight is our final class and social hour, then it's onward to helping out in the community.
