Help, I done screwed up!

Unless it's one of those teflon irons. IMO stainless steel is the way to go! Roberta in D, plenty of experience with sandpaper and brillo pads

Wow, thanks, Anneliese! I love the kinds of things you do with fabric. I'm looking forward to seeing what kinds of fabric designs you come up with. Stay in touch, you have a captive audience here.

Oooooh! What great work, Anneliese! And don't you dare burn Brickette -- it's wonderful!

Well, well, well! We have a new art quilter joining us! Wow! Thanks so much for posting your quilts Anneliese. I love the title "Plowboys vs. Cowboys". I can see your sand, sea and sky piece hanging in a two story vestibule. Beautiful! "Brickette" made me giggle too...but I do see why you might not be as enthused about it. Perhaps you can add something to the pale centers perk it up to the intensity of the surrounding pieces. I bet you'll get lots of suggestions from this group! Welcome....come visit us when you can. Just did this: I waited until my iron cooled off, then peeled off the plastic bag remnants...no problem. I guess it depends on the soleplate of the iron, but you may find the same thing.

On the other hand, the three fingers I used to pick up the iron by the soleplate [right before I dropped it onto the plastic bag] are NOT so easily repaired.

Frank, I have read all the suggestions to cleaning the iron, etc., but is it really your fault? Why did she have plastic setting near an iron to start with? Personally I think she is as much at fault as you because it shouldn't have been there. On the other hand, if I had a husband or anyone that would vacuum for me, I wouldn't fuss over such a thing as plastic on the iron. Hey irons are replaceable, a good husband isn't.

Howdy!

This is why: the subject line suggests this is a "screwed up" something... ? LOL

Thanks for the show&tells.

True and thanks. This kid is something I definately didn't screw up. By the way, did you all notice when she said she did Briquettes when she was 15? EVERY corner is spot on. She not only has the color choice down, but the skill in cutting and sewing is there too. Frank Reid

thanks for posting the picture of the banner. In all the years I have been a part of this group I don't think I have ever seen the official banner so clearly photographed. Now if I am ever at a show I will know what to look for.
