Help, Math Attack

I was referring to the borders, Leslie. I acutally loose sleep when I have to cut borders lengthwise, because I count on the stretch of a cross-wise cut - pieced or not - to keep the borders straight. For me, borders cut on the lengthwise grain tend to be wavy. Same way with binding, I has to be cut crosswise because I utilize the stretch to pull in borders that may not have as much quilting as the center of the quilt and are wavy, or borders cut lengthwise. Funny how different techniques work for some of us but not others! Mickie

I've just 'stretched' the remaining border fabric with cornerstones - and I also have five flying geese on opposing sides (the long ones).

Looks intentional and I used the little bits of the border fabric I had from the main quilt!
