Well. Next Friday we fly off to Canada. (Calgary, Edmonton, Rockies, maybe Whitehorse). What to do?
I am still HQ my KS star medallion quilt. It is on a three pole frame and I am a little over 1/3 of the way across. Would it be feasible to baste the rest and take it to quilt on the plane? Obviously I would have to purchase a small hoop of some description. Then when I got home, I could roll it, basting and all, back onto the frame. But would the tension remain the same?
Otherwise, there is DD's bunny quilt that is ready for sashing and I could get that basted ready to take (much smaller) but I HAD thought to MQ that one, as it is applique. Each block is a different bunny (like a Sunbonnet Sue but much cuter imo) and needs echo quilting and in-the-ditch which I don't fancy by hand.
I suppose I could start something new, but not sure what to do next. I was going to try a whole-cloth quilt for our bedroom, but what if I fancy something in Canada?
Any suggestions to resolve this dilemma?
