Thank you. :)
I'm feeble when it comes to food - but pain is a wonderful teacher! if I eat too much or the wrong things, I suffer - tizzen woth it! ;)
Well done!
Speaking as someone who has also lost that kind of weight (I lost 80 lbs some years ago) -- doesn't it feel *great* after all the weight is off and you suddenly notice the spring is back in your step?
I'm busy picking a host of fabrics in colours from deepest darkest bitter chocolate, through various coffee and caramel colours to vanilla ice cream pale! And then I'm going to put buttons on it!
I think I want a deep chocolate border and a paler middle, but other than that no fixed ideas yet. There might be star blocks and there might be squares...
Some time in the not tooooooo distant future my bedroom will be painted a sort of vanilla ice ream colour and be given natural undyed cotton coloured curtains. I have the fabric for that already! :) Erm... THAT fabric has been a part of the stash for longer than we've had James!
Thank you! :)
I can SWIM for a whole mile and not feel like lead when I get out of the water! I can RUN upstairs! :)
And well done on your own loss. Have you found it hard to keep it off? I'm looking at still weighing in every week, and still going to meetings for the rest of my natural! I intend to celebrate my 100th birtday still at goal, at a WW meeting, half a century from now!
Well done, Kate! Don't forget to add some chocolate chip cookies to your quilt, too! Nancycog in MD (Countess of CC Cookies)
Wow! I'm even more impressed than I was before, Kate! Great achievement! :D
Congratulations! I am a lifetime member of WW and just rejoined to lose 20 lbs. You are an inspiration! I enjoyed your before and after pics and I just hooked up alt... Thanks.
I salute you Kate! I know what a committment this is. You look great! KJ
Hm... Chocolate chip cookie print... Yum!
Thank you. If I can do it, you can, and will. Just don't be mean to yourself over it if you fall off the wagon a little now and again.
Good luck! :)
Thank you. I love being healthy again: slim with it is the bonus!
Not especially hard, no, because I really don't deny myself anything, I just control portions. I believe strongly that fad diets don't work, and the only way to lose weight and keep it off is to eat a balanced diet in appropriate servings (Weight Watchers is excellent for this) and to get a reasonable amount of exercise. I've never met anyone who followed a fad diet that actually kept it off.
That's what I need to hear! :) I do love the WW way of doing things that allows for celebrations and chocolate and you can STILL lose weight and keep it off.
Faddy diets are a no-no here too! :)
