Do rotary blade sharpeners really exist?

Yes, they do; and they are fine, but for temporary solution only really. They don't extend the life of the blade all that much. They're very useful when you don't have a new blade, you are cutting, and the blade is getting dull. Sharpening it will get you to be able to continue cutting.

That's good to know as I can't find blades for the small RC any more. When my stash is gone I guess I'll have to get the next size. :(

Ah - you might not be able to get a sharpener for the little one, either, I'm afraid. There might *be* a small one, but I have only seen sharpeners for the 45mm and 60mm. Mind you, I don't see everywhere by any means. . In message , Marie Dodge writes

Had the sharpener..wasn't worth the time in my opinion. and it was demoed' to me before I purchased it, so I knew I was doing it correctly. Cheaper and less frustrating to me to buy a multi-pak of new ones with a TSWLTH coupon.

I know I'll eventually have to replace my small one so I'll just wait until all the blades are gone, then buy a new one.

It's the 28mm I can't find locally. I'm hoping when I get to the city next week I can find it in one of the stores there, perhaps the large Singer store where I got my NewHome. He can often order things for people if he doesn't have it in stock.

I couldn't find rotary cutters on that site.

Just drop them an e-mail and they will get back to you. Since they travel to shows it may take a day or so, but they do carry a computer with them and will get back to you.

Oh!!!!!!!! :^) I only shopped there one or two times. The high prices drove me away. Then the store closed and moved to another town. Do you live in Central New York? Anywhere near Cooperstown or Oneonta?

I think by the time I paid S&H charges on blades I'd just as soon get a new cutter and buy blades locally. With my husband about to retire we are pinching pennies everywhere. One of the reasons I seldom buy anything online is because of the S&H charges. Another thing I've noticed is just about everything is more expensive than in a real store.

We have a new TSWLTH close to the Mayo Hospital/Specialty Building. When we head up there for appts, I grab my latest coupon (I should say DH's as HE gets them and I don't and we both signed up the SAME DAY, SAME Store! just to see if either of us would get them). I usually buy 'notions or a mag' as I only get American Quilter by sub anymore. thus the 3 mags for my HB this year:)

Other than that, I don't shop there. Haven't a clue what the fabric prices are there anymore.

Butterfly (The staff is especially nice and helpful at this store which really floored me--a rarity as far as I have experienced--except for the one at Northridge, CA)
