Just got a call about making someone a quilt

Funny how some things come up when you are least expecting it. I just got a call from my sister. Someone she knows saw one of the quilts I made for her daughter a few Christmas' ago. She asked my sister to give me a call to find out how much I would charge her to make one for her like it. I do believe she was shocked to find out that it would be a minimum of $350.00. The quilt has 48 blocks as as I said before I charge $5.00 a block for the quilting plus all the materials. Her friend will call me back and let me know. My sister did tell her friend that I charge fairly for my work and at least she knows how and what is involved in the quilts I make as gifts. I think her friend figured about $50.00 tops and that wouldn't even cover the materials in the quilt. BTW this is a twin size quilt. This just reminded me of the thread we were discussing the other day. julia
