OT and ON-Enough!!!!

It was forecast to cool down and rain with a slight chance of snow. SLIGHT CHANCE! I just measured on the railing on the deck and we have 9.75 inches of snow since this morning and they are predicting another 3 to 7 inches overnight. It's April 25th. I need therapy of some sort. Coca-Cola and dark chocolate I think.

Anyways, a good evening to stay in and finish quilting the retirement gift. Then only the binding to go. It needs to be done by next Saturday. Almost done.

Steven, last weekend, here in Alberta, our blizzard started Sat morn and it snowed and blew for 4 days. Probably got just a tad under 2 feet of snow.

Poor Steve! At least you're getting some work done. And you're welcome to come visit me: we had lunch outdoors today under chestnut trees full of tender baby green leaves. After a walk through the woods, where the ground was covered in white and purple anemones and wood violets. Roberta in D

That makes the little dusting we got overnight look pretty insignificant.

Maybe you should come here to finish the quilt, Steve? The sun is shining, and we're expecting high 70s to low 80s today.

It is 99 here in Ventura County today. Ok, so I do not have a real green thumb - I killed my marigolds. Sad, huh? I emailed my ex asking for my succulents and cactus plants back.

DH just came down and said there's blizzards in MN---18" and still snowing! It's been beautiful here, but I'm not sure it'll stay that way. According to old time forecasters there will be 3 snows after the Forsythia blooms. It's been in bloom a long time, and no snow. Hope it stays that way. If it does, this will be the first time in ages that it hasn't snowed and frozen all the daffodils. Gen

He's right Gen, It's just stopped snowing now. The highways are closed and I had to walk to work in knee high snow this morning. We had to take on extra work today as several people couldn't make it in to work. It started last night as a bit of freezing rain then switched to snow. The poor robins are stunned and you can't even see where the signs of spring were now!! Shhesh Donna inNWONtario

YOu killed marigolds? The pediatrician hollered at me when ds had allergies. SHe said they are just ragweed, get rid of them So hopefully your allergies are a bit happier even if your marigolds are dead. Can you believe a bear kills a guy right near here and then some poor man gets killed by a shark? After seeing all the snakes at the SD zoo reptile house the other day I am hoping there is no snake in the news!

99'? Yikes! Taria

Snakes were in the news here last night. Seems like rattlesnake venom has gotten "more poisonous" lately. Not sure why, but there have been some very severe reactions to bites in the last few months. Almost 100° here too. Already "hot" on the way to "too hot" and "Way tooo hot".........

We had those bad fires last year. Then a lot of rain in Jan/Feb. Green hillsides of new growth. Now the hills are turning brown already. And the cougars and coyotes are in town. No, not sport teams, but the critters looking for water and easy meals. I'm predicting a healthy population of rattlesnakes this year, also.

Yeah, the guy at Lowe's was pretty surprised. So I brought home a rose bush to plant in my big ceramic pot. And still waiting for a return email from ex

Here in Virginia, we've been enjoying cool and sunny days, with light ore breezes. The daffodils have come and gone, as have the cherry blossoms. Now the dogwood trees are dressed in white. The robins and the doves have built nests on my front porch. Snow? What's that?

'ore' breezes? that should be 'off-shore' breezes! Sigh, PAT

It's really raining hard here in CNY. steady downpour and drizzle. Cooler today too, and we've had some wonderful days in the upper 60's and lower 70's. the snow was supposed to go north of us. only wet mix, but just the same, i hope it stays away!!

If night temps here keep on the same way as last night and tonight we may just see some this year. Last night was 7C, tonight/early morning there is expected to wide spread frost though out the state (NSW). We saw snow clouds yesterday, it may have landed as rain but it started falling as snow. Global warming? More like freezing!
