OT: English - Czech translations

Hi Guys, OK, I already posted that I am tagging along with DH (he's going on business) to Europe next week. I am trying to find a site online that will give me translations for the basic language niceties -- stuff like please, thank you, you're welcome, hello, good-bye...... I have Googled English-Czech dictionary and have found a site that will give you the translation. Problem is, I have NO IDEA how to actually pronounce the words! Czech, like many European languages, has different pronunciation "thingies" that don't mean a thing to me. I need something that will give me VERY BASIC phonetic translations. I could make the 20 mile trip to the closest Barnes & Noble but that means taking pretty much a whole day to go in the opposite direction of all the other errands I have to run this week! So -- does anyone speak Czech; do you have any idea what these words would be and how to pronounce them; can you recommend a website that would have the info I need? I'm sure that most folks in the Czech Rep. will know what the English please, thank you, etc. are but I just think that's so rude -- to expect people in their own country to understand my language! By now the whole world knows & uses OK and most people know what you mean when you say Hi or Bye but I should at least learn a few basic words in the local language! I should also have worried about this when I first learned I was going with DH but was busy with life, etc.! No excuse on my part so any and all help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks & CiaoMeow >^;;^<

Ok but, well, just HOW do you pronounce those food words and *what* is it (R&D&H) LOL?!?!? I'm hoping that DH's contact over there will take pity on me and send translations for the basic few words -- spelled

*phonetically* :-). CiaoMeow >^;;^<

is my newest friend :-). Someone over at RCTN suggested I Google english - czech dictionary + pronunciation and this is the wonderful website I found. It has ALL of the words and phrases a person traveling there could want (and a lot that I ignored). PLUS, they have .wav files of just about everything so that you could click on the word or phrase and actually HEAR a native speaking that word or phrase :-)))! I am really happy -- I can say please (prosi'm = proseem) and thank you (dekuji = dyuhkooyee). Now, if I can just *remember* the stuff once I don't have a paper to look at I'll be all set :-).
