I just had to take a break from the scrappy quilt so I played a while with the felted booties pattern. If you are going to stitch the sole onto the bootie top by SM, I found that the zipper foot worked best. It was just easier to get around with no SM foot in the way of seeing where I was going. If you use the zipper foot, don't forget to set the needle position w-a-a-a-y over to the side so you don't ker-boing a needle. Polly

While I'm not a fan of wool (sorry, I know that is shocking to a NZer!), I did want to say thank you for the other bootie patterns that I think you posted last week. I've made two pairs of cute little fleece booties! One in a rainbow fleece and one in a light blue fleece. I might try it next using layers of fabric and batting, to make little quilted ones, but I'm not sure how all those layers will fare in such a small little bootie. (The pattern I'm using was called something like 3-seam booties).
