As many of you know, my DD has been having a terrible time finding work. Many of you have said prayers and held good wishes for her and I can't thank you enough for that. She had a ton of interviews, but many wanted evening hours in addition to weekends or started really early in the morning which didn't work with getting her son to day care. She finally received a voice mail on her cell phone from someone who had gotten her resume from another dentist. She spoke for 40 minutes on the phone and then had an in person interview two days later. She really wanted to do well on the interview and talked to my DSD about good luck charms. Well, the DSD told her to take a picture of herself and paperclip a dollar bill to it and put it in her purse that she'd take to the interview. Well, she didn't want to take any chances so she used a $5 bill instead. She was offered the job on the spot - and starts tomorrow! Frankly, I don't think she needed the charm, but who am I to tempt the fates! She would have liked a higher salary but they gave her $2 more per hour than they were offering and she took $3 less. She works from 9 to 5 on mon, wed and thurs and 9 to 3 on tues which she could not turn down. No nights, no weekends. It was too good to pass up. I agree! Thanks to all who have help get me - and her - through this rough spot!
