OT: kind of... re new QI's

I've uploaded a new picture of the puppies.... in my webshots album... the first in the Kayla & Pups album.

I'm just in love... they are so adorable! I can't wait to take her home.

Still trying to decide on a name....

Sugar? Sassy? Savannah? (I want to stick with the "S" sound... the alliteration with Samson)

Any ideas?

absolutely adorable - and being a lab, I'd name her Salty Dog, Salty for short.

Howdy!

What?

Let the dog tell you. Our Stanley sounds likes a Stanley Steamer; Dusty is dust-colored, and Hairy the guinea pig ...was... hairy. ;->

Your little one does stand out in the crowd, doesn't she? Even when she's not really standing. Are you working on her quilt, Kate?

The puppies are sweet. For some reason I just want to put a quilt or a blankie or something over the poor mama dog. She just looks miserable in all the photos. All curled around her babies, trying to keep them close. She just looks like she needs to snuggle under something. I know I'm reading human sentiments into a dog, but I do that all the time. Is there some safety problem with giving mom dogs a cuddly blanket to get under ? I remember when our dog had pups when I was quite young, we made her a box filled with old sweaters and a quilt. She would nestle back under the quilt, which hung over part of the box and gave her a dark place where she could hide with the pups. LOL. She was a terrible mother. She liked one of the three puppies and the other two were not allowed to get close. We bottle raised those babies. And wouldn't you know it, it was the pup she liked best that we kept and who lived to be 13 years old and fathered so many puppies that his DNA is probably still floating around that part of Texas.

Sunny I think I'm hormonal tonight

They are definitely adorable, Kate! :-)

Hmmm. I kind of like the name Sassy, but do you think she'll up to her name? Like if you name her Sassy, she just might be a little rambunctious? ;-) If so, then maybe Sugar would be better? Or how about Sandy for her color?

Somewhere I read that dogs respond and learn best with crisp, two syllable names. You might want to read up on that. Anyhow, I'd say go with Sugar, for the color. Snowflake? Or you could try Satin! (I'd like Cotton, but I guess that won't work for you.) PAT

Kate, those darling little ones almost make me want a puppy myself. Almost. VBG There's just nothing like a warm squirmy little puppy- pure love and joy!

I know you'll have a ball with your little one when you get her home. How fun!
