OT: Sad News About Michelle Stuyvesant

Hello all - I received this very sad e-mail from Jeff this morning, my heart is breaking for him, and yet happy for Michelle and Sue. If there is ANYONE who can go to the services, could you please give Jeff the biggest hug in the world from me? Thank you.

Susan, I felt that you should know about this also. Please pass this al Hello Everyone, Things have not gone well with Michelle. Her pneumonia became more than she could handle and, over the last weekend, she developed an increasing amount of pain. Yesterday evening I had Michelle's life support removed. She passed away at 10:55 PM with me at her side and surrounded by her friends. She is at peace now and with her mother. I thank each and everyone of you for your support through the years. Services for Michelle will be held at Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills, 6300 Forest Lawn Drive, Los Angeles. The services will be held on Saturday,

9/17/05 at 1:00 PM at the "Church of the Hills." This is the same church where Sue's services were held. There will be a reception held at my house afterwards. If you wish, you may make donations to Childrens Hospital Los Angeles. Jeff

Sue, I am so sad to hear about Michelle/the Queen. I've been on this newsgroup for over seven years and remember her well.

Unfortunately, I will be unable to attend as I will be in school all day on Saturday. My heart aches for Jeff. I remember meeting Michelle at the first meet-up I attended at the Glendale Quilt Show. Her eyes would light as Sue took her to look at the quilts and check out the fabric.

Thanks so much for passing along this very sad news, Sue. I never met either Sue or Michelle, but I remember very clearly reading so many posts about The Queen. My condolences to Jeff.

If I recollect correctly, he declined an offer of one once before. He has the one we made for MeSue and that seems to be all that he wants. Think we should respect his wishes on this.

Sue, It is difficult to be the bearer of sad news, so I thank you for keeping us informed. I have fond memories of Sue and her joy in her daughter, Michelle. As several have mentioned, we hold Jeff in out thoughts. Let us also keep a kind thoughts and prayers for Sue's mother. IIRC, she lost a daughter named Michelle quite some time ago, then Sue two years ago, so this is still another burden for her. Quite a lot for one mother-grandmother to endure.

Back a few years ago, I left this newsgroup, only to come back about 18 months ago. I remember the Queen well, because it always made me think of my youngest daughter who is the self-proclaimed Queen of our household. I've thought about her often over the last few years and wondered where she was now. Until now, I didn't know that Sue had passed away. I'm going to need to discuss this with hubby, who is working Saturday, but I will make every effort to go to the service.

wow, Heather that would be fantastic if you could be there. you might well be the one and only RCTQ ambassador there. i'm way too far away to get there. i'm sure Jeff would be very pleased to know we all think so much of the Queen, Sue and him to get someone there as our representative. do give him a big hug from all at RCTQ. tho he might not know you from the rest of us, i'm sure someone from RCTQ would be must appreciated. we all feel like family even if we really arent. damn, this really is an awful thing for him to go thru. : ( Sues Mom as well must be really having a hard time of it. hugz for all of them from the south pacific. jeanne
