I didn't tell you how much stuff was growing...hehehehe!! Men don't know how to clean a fridge. I am still not done yet. I want to put my glass shelves in my dishwasher. Hubby is hating this because for months I couldn't do a thing. Now I am back to Mrs. Clean and even look like her not having hair!! Pami

Never crossed my mind that it might be okay to put the refr glass shelves in the dishwasher. Cool. Let me know how that turns out. Pickle jar dribbles and milk jug leaks do take their toll. Polly

If it won't go in a washing machine or a dish washer I probably don't own one. I even take my range hood apart and put it thru the dish washer. It has washable filters.

Most glass shelves will be fine but NOT on super hot wash and NOT straight from the fridge - give 'em time to "warm up" a bit. The rack shelves and drawers also appreciate a scrub too.

I used to put my rangehood filters in the dishwasher too until I realised that the outer edges weren't stainless like the rest but aluminium so maybe it wasn't such a good idea.

I just wish the oven racks would fit but as they are 900mm wide they don't have a hope. The new fangled fridge has plastic shelves so won't even try them in the dishwasher.

I stack the glass round the edges and the wire shelves flat in the top, with the veggie drawers in the bottom... And was on a coolish program. I chuck the oven shelves in the dishwasher on hot. Must try it with the hood... I use disposable hood filters, and need to dispose of the current one!
