This should take you to some pics of 2 memory quilts, very similar, for 2 sisters using their mother's clothing. The blue back is the one I quilted back side up, since you asked. Should be the last 5 photos.

Not my most favorite quilts: well-worn poly-cottons. (The Quilt Police are going to lock me up and throw away the key!) At least we know they were pre-washed (many times in the nursing home laundry :-p) Edna Pearl, it's all your fault, I would not have started this project if it hadn't been for your posts! Well, they turned out really grand! Well done Roberta; the ladies will love and treasure them, I'm sure. I wish I knew about quilting, when my mother died. She had loads of blouses and I could have made a sweet quilt with them; ditto, father's shirts. . In message , Roberta writes

Why they're simply lovely! Feel free to blame me for such beautiful work any time you like ;-)

I think when the Quilt Police see what a wonderful job you did, they will forgive you and give you a suspended sentence! And the sisters will be very happy with their memory quilts.

I wish I had a Mama quilt too. I'm just plain jealous. Polly

Your quilting is awesome, Roberta! I'm sure the sisters will cherish their quilts and feel closer to Mama everytime they look at the. Wonderful job! Donna

Oh my, Roberta. How wonderful. What a great quilt for the daughters.

I stashed several pieces of my mom's clothing when she passed away with the intention of making a memory quilt....but even though it has been 7 years I still cannot bring myself to open that box yet. Oh well...perhaps someday....
