Re: OT Canada and Post

Several friends this morning commented that they had not received Christmas post from Canadian relatives, and wondered if there was any postal dispute there? I said I would ask.

Thanks in advance.

I've had quite a few (half a dozen or so) this past week, Sally. I didn't notice the dates on the postmarks, though. . In message , Sally Swindells writes

To clarify, it was snail mail, Christmas cards type post.

rofl, and snail mail is anything other than Email (for patti, lol). everything off our island country goes by air otherwise you ship it yourself. no surface post from here thru the postal service. j.

"jennellh" wrote... No difference in Xmas mail costs for cards international - packages, yes; all cards overseas mail by air. jennellh

7 to ten days such a short distance and in the same country. weird. j.

"Joanna" wrote... No dispute. This year I was actually surprised by how quick they have been. Normally it could take 7-10days for a letter from Alberta to Toronto, Ontario. This xmas it made it in 5 days. Which is like half the time. Even though I have told this to MIL all cards are constantly late. Take Care Joanna Alberta I should clarify and say that I just have not heard of any dispute. Seems I have to watch what I say cuz I have been wrong before...haha

To clarify again - flying snail mail (as opposed to on-line).

I got mine from my good friend Helen in Ontario. Maybe your friend's relatives are like me and haven't gotten around to sending them yet.
