sewing in the sun

I am enjoying a lit-up sewing room this morning! I'm taking advantage of the rare opportunity (rare for this time of year). I'm going to finish marking my diamonds in preparation for sewing them into larger diamonds. Evenings, I have been finishing up the hand-quilting on several simple wall hanging panels for birthday gifts for my Friday sewing time buddies. So nice to be finishing things again!

What would you do with a southern exposure, sun-filled, leaves all over the yard, sewing room today?

Hi Karen, I would breathe it all in and enjoy every bit of it! Have a good day!

Sunshine? what is that? here in southeast Michigan we see it so rarely this time of year I often forget. I'm jealous. I have floor to vaulted ceiling windows -- and still need to turn on a light to see well!!!

What would I do? Just what you are doing! Enjoying every minute of it doing what I wanted... Maybe sewing for a while and then to stretch take out Samson & Jasmine for a romp in the leaves!

Even a southern exposure wouldn't help around here today! It's gray and rainy, and I don't anticipate it improving soon. So enjoy the sun for me, okay?

On the "up" side, a friend and I are heading to Des Moines tomorrow for the AQS show. Another friend went yesterday and said she didn't have time to see all the quilts - but that was because she was busy spending money with the vendors. Sounds like a good thing to me!

I'd probably head outside. We've had rain and grey for so long. Today the weatherman on TV explained that the warm air above has the clouds trapped in our area. Yuck!

I'd probably blow part of it getting online to tell everybody about it...

Enjoy the heck out of the sunshine while you can!!! (a friend of mine in Denver just emailed me that she's got 30" of snow on her back porch! I'm sooooo not ready for winter!) ME-Judy

so when would you like just a few of your buddies to come over and quilt with you for just an hour?

Good natural light is a blessing in any sewing room! We haven't seen much of it this October though. Enjoy!

I'd just enjoy the opportunity to be in there. It seems no matter how hard I try, there is never any sewing time. Sigh!

It's been awfully grey here the last few days - I would probably just sit and bask for a bit. Perhaps with a cup of tea and the radio on low.

I would love that. Let's see how things go, and maybe week after next. (we have vacation time next week)

Karen, we seem to be doing the exact same things in the evening, except i'm hand quilting on a full size and... You described my sewing room exactly!!! southern exposure, 7 windows overlooking my field of tress and grasses in all of Autumn's glory! Tomorrow is supposed to be a good "sun" day, so i, too will be in "my room" sewing away! i love weekends! amy in CNY
