Still a UFO, but less U than it was

Another picture - this time a flimsy from a block swap I took part in a few years ago. The theme was green and white, but there was a fair variation in block size, so I bought Sharyn Craig's Twist'n'Turn book and used that technique. Only once the top was completed did I notice my layout error, but I am not unpicking it, it's a feature ;-)

I am saving my flimsies till later in the year when DD moves out and I get my sewing space back properly, then I shall blitz the tops that need quilting. Well that is the theory.....

Very nice! I wouldn't have seen the 'feature' if you'd not mentioned it! This is a great way to set different sized blocks. Will have to get this book!!

Love those greens! It always amazes me how well all those swap blocks play together in the finished top.

What a terrific sampler quilt! It so reminds me of early spring. How refreshing!

Thanks for asking after him.

Rocky is fine now except for having lost the sight in one eye. He is back to his usual tricks such as stealing vegetable peelings from the tub to go out to the compost bin and he is in heaven if I forget to put away a cucumber after using it for sandwiches! I have never known such an omnivorous cat.

I shall try to get some up to date pictures of him - I'm sure he will oblige by inspecting a quilt at some point.
