Thank you for sharing this. It looks like a wonderful day with all those wonderful quilts in those lovely gardens.

I'm sure it was, only thing I don't think I said, was I wasn't there...a friend forwarded on the url. Glad you enjoyed it. We are having a very hot dry summer here on the west coast, over 500 forest fires in our province right now. Putting a damper on my vacation plans. May end up going south of the border to avoid the fires.

Hi Butterfly [sorry to send this to the group, but two messages have bounced back, don't know why. I tried both your addys I have. Weird.] I don't know, I didn't go to the show. But I'm guessing from talking with my Japanese e-mail friend it was probably hand done. They don't use machines too much and don't like using pins! I also found the hydrangea interesting, will store the idea for the future. Got a great picture of my Pink Peace rose, I'll scan it and send if off in the next few days. Sandi
On the "Entrance is busy" picture, the second lady in line has her hands fisted, thumbs out. It reminded me of one first-grader's mnemonic (memory device) for writing letters. He held his two fists together, eye level, with both thumbs up. Looking at his left fist, he said, "Big." Moving to the right fist, he said "Dog," before pointing his thumbs down. Then looking at left, then right fists, he said, "Pees quickly." That was one of my very few really happy memories of the two months I taught first grade before deciding I was really, really, really NOT suited to work with the little ones.

Which recommendation was it? Elena If it's a webpage, I will just take a picture of it and send it to you. lol
Elena, determined! Oh hmm thinking.. you mean the allnews.readfreenews.net? Let me check the settings in OE. Or what program are you using? Okay, in OE, clicking on Tools, then Accounts, then the News tab... highlight this news server, and click Properties. Then under General tab I have the news server named: allnews.readfreenews.net then My name: Elena Organization is blank E-mail address: snipped-for-privacy@spamblocked.com (example) Reply address is blank and so is the checkbox for include this account when checking for new messages. Next tab is Server, Server name: allnews.readfreenews.net The box marked This server requires me to log on: is unchecked, so the rest is greyed out. Connection tabs and Advanced Tabs are unchanged and really everything is unchecked on those. Click OK then click CLOSE The folder list on the left should have that news server's name on it now, you click on it, and start subscribing to newsgroups off it. (It may want to download it's own list of newsgroups first.)
Hope that helps!
