what to do with fabric collection?

Morning all.

I recently saw and fell in love with a new fabric collection: moda Little Gatherings.

So my question is what to do with them. I'm thinking of yet another sampler, but if so, how? Any other ideas?

While browsing the magazine rack today (limited selection of patchwork mags usually), I saw American Patchwork and Quilting IIRC. Didn't buy it, or I'd be better informed :-) There was a lovely scrappy pattern for 8-point stars. The star centers were scrappy 4-patches. The points were flying geese (4 units for each block = 8 points). Plus 4 corner squares. If you designated all the lights as background (geese "bases" and the 4 corners), you could use the mediums and darks for the stars, mix everything at random. Make the blocks any size that's convenient, maybe 8.5" unfinished since it's a 4X4 grid. Are you planning to buy the entire collection? Yum! Roberta in D

a look at the star on this page. Imagine that the center squareis a 4-patch. Not sure these piecing directions will help you, butthis is truly about as simple as an 8-point star gets. Roberta in D

I like a little variety and it's getting so every shop I walk in to feels like the last because they are all Moda land. It has caused me to do more on-line and quilt show shopping as a result to get the variety I want.

Oh for a nearby store that carries Alexander Henry :-)
