Azzy's Wakey Wakey Eggs and Bacey Recipe Swap - UPDATE???

Does anone have an update on this swap? Seems to me I haven't heard in a while, though of course I've been swaped and not following things as quickly as usual!

I was just going to post and find out if anyone got their sets yet, as I have not. Last I'd heard we were waiting for one more set, but that seems like a long time ago.

I'm not sure we've seen Azzy in a while. I hope all is well with her. Does anyone have her phone number? I know that someone has been emailing her and hasn't gotten a reply.

I was just wondering about this swap myself today.

Last email I got was on September 30th saying she was waiting on 2 swaps to come in.

My last email correspondence with her was on October 4th. I don't have her telephone, is it in the snail mail membership directory?

We did get an update from Azzy via email last night. She has been away from her computer and home for a little bit and there is still someone whose swap is missing in action. Azzy will be sending out the pages in the next couple of days, no matter what, and at that point I guess we will have to consider the missing as having "flaked" on the swap.

We all know that the easiest and most fun way for a swap to go is if when you sign up and have your clear instructions on how to proceed, you sit down right away (while you're still excited about the whole thing) and get it done and mailed out! The fast swaps are the fun swaps. It is always sad for everyone when something like this happens. The hostess feels uncomfortable, after all she was hoping for a smooth, fun swap; the other members of the swap get frustrated with waiting for it to show up; and, the person who is late or missing gets a black eye and probably could have either bowed out of the swap gracefully by contacting the hostess or met their commitment by starting earlier. If you are in a tight pinch, you can even contact me and when that has happened in the past, the hostess and I have spoken and either the hostess or I've come up with some fast pages so that the swap was not late and no one got short changed.

I'm sure that most of our host(ess)s are already doing most of this, but I thought I would throw this out anyhow. I think that we should consider in the future, the hostess having all the phone numbers of the people in the swap and her getting in touch with the "missing" first via email 4 days before the due date. If she has no reply by the end of the 2nd day after her email, she should call the person. If the swap contents are not in her hands 5 days after the phone call, then he/she should just mail it out. If they show up late, then she should just refuse the package or send it back to the sender. The sender can then make good on the swap herself by paying the cost of shipping to each swap member with, I would hope, a heartfelt apology! She should also apologize to the poor hostess for causing him/her the extra stress.

At any rate, sit tight, you should get sopme recipe swap pages soon!

I got an email last night from her. She said she'll be out of town, until tomorrow I think. (I'd look it up but I'm at work) Said she'll get them out after she gets home.

Azzy,

Thanks for hosting! We're eager to see what we've got. It was a fantastic idea. My only disappointment is the number of participants. The minute you suggested it I had my pages envisioned... now that's motivation.
