Hey all, a very good friend of mine is going through some real tough times right now...if you could add her, her family and her new baby to your prayers I know we can help! Here is some info. I received in emails about the baby's condition. I just attended her shower over the weekend and can't believe this is happening...Thanks in advance!
this on....I think I am sending this out to all who know Elizabeth Baer, but if you do not, say a prayer for her anyway! Elizabeth is in the hospital and her unborn baby is in jeopardy. The baby is at 32 weeks right now. He has a viral "thing" called non immune hydrops. this as I understand it ( from Julie and Kathy) is a fluid buildup in the chest and around the heart that causes it to swell. It is not a good thing but Julie says she has seen babies who come thru this. Elizabeth is in the women's center at Kennestone - don't know how long she will be there but prayers are definitely in order! She is in room 507 and phone number to Kennestone is
770-793-5000. Not sure how much company she wants but maybe we could do some food or something - her husband and 2 daughters still need to eat and she probably won't feel like cooking when she gets home....LyraShiona was kind enough to call me tonight with an update about Elizabeth, and I promised to let everyone on the team know. Forgive me if this is old news.
The baby came by C-section this afternoon. He is about 4 lbs. and has not been named yet. The doctors removed about a pound of fluid from his lungs after birth. In the womb, the doctors had given him only a 5% chance of survival, but now, his chances are up to 50%. The baby will undergo tests now on his brain to determine if lack of oxygen in the womb has done any damage. Elizabeth is fine, and is holding up O.K.
Let's all keep Elizabeth, the baby and her family in our thoughts and prayers. Let me know if you hear anything, and I will do the same.
Love, Kimberly
