Does anyone have any suggestions on a good digital camera that's not too expensive? I think my Sony Cybershot is about shot. I've only had it .. will be 3 years this January. Kendra was a baby when I got it... she's now

  1. Wal-Mart has this pink camera, I think it's Polaroid with 7 megapixels. Mine's only 3.2 mp. I don't want to spend a whole lot of money as I cant afford much... but I don't want a piece of crap either. Thanks all for the advice.

I just got the Canon S3is from Best Buy and paid around $399, but it does everything I'll want it to do for a while. It is a 6MP, 12x optical and 4x digital zoom. I can set all kinds of things on it.

I have a Kodak Z760 which is 6.1 mp and it came with the charging dock for $199 and I am sure it has come down since. The day to buy a new digital camera is the day after Thanksgiving. If you want to know a little early which one is going to be the best deal go to this website

I have a Sony Cybershot, and I would love a different camera too. I think I have about worn it out...lol I have been thinking seriously about going back to 35MM camera. My zoom isnt all that great and action photos just dont turn out like I want. Digital is good for getting quick prints and being able to see what you shot immediately. but there are so many times I move, and the pic is blurred, or I am not happy with the lighting, or I forget to set the lighting setting...etc...I will have to investigate further!!! I hope you find some good info from all our friends on here..lots of experience photographers here! :-)

I just got my christmas present two months early - a Nikon coolpix L3 from Best Buy - it's amazing - it's a 5 megapixel camera with a macro and small zoom, and it fits in my pocket/purse (why I wanted to buy it) and it was only a hundred and fifty dollars! I haven't tried out many of the options yet, but has a special feature where it will take

8-10 shots for you and then save the clearest/lightest one. I usually take 3 shots of each subject myself and then toss out the blurry one/s, but this camera will do it for me. The flash is pretty puny, but it will automatically lighten the background of the shot if you ask it to.

I have the Fujifilm S5200. It is he same camera I enabled Lynne to buy and it is the newer model than the one April has.

It is so like a 35mm is why I got it, plus it ranks it the top 5. Olympus camera are rated no 1 because of quality of photos and Fuji is number 2 based on ease of use and features. The menus are a bit deep and takes some getting into and use to get to know.

As most in here that I have met can attest, the as the majority of my pix are taken on the move or fly. I end up with few blurry shots. The S5200 has a anti-shake feature which works. You can take short video clips with it and it has several aperture features you can set.

The MSRP is 399 but you can fid it for as low as 200. I would highly suggest the camera for its easy use. It has 14 optical zoom and 10 digital.

HTH and feel free to drop me a line of comparison sites to go check things out.

While at Wal-Mart I found a new pink Polaroid digital 7.0 mp for 149.00 . I'm leaning towards that one since it's in my price range. Since it's pink, it is in the 'race for the cure' line. The lady in the photo lab dept said they've been flying off the shelves, good price for the mp and it's pink.. I put it in layaway even though Wal-Mart is fazing out layaway. I have until December 8 to get it out. I am hoping I can have it PIF by then.

Thanks for the advice.

I have a Kodak EasyShare something-or-other. It's here somewhere. I can't place it immediately, but I'm happy with it. I'm more of a 'point and shoot' type person. I want my camera to be easy to use, and that it is! As for picture quality, it could probably be better. My Mom has a spiffy digital camera, and it takes reallllly nice pics. I'll have to ask her what it is. My BIL used it during our mission trip to Mexico, and I think it probably took better pics than mine did. It's got all the bells and whistles you would expect. LOL

I own a Canon S80 powershot, which replaced my Canon S40 powershot. I love my camera and wouldn't buy another brand.

it has a ton of functions, and I'm still learning how to figure them all out. In a pinch, I can just point and shoot in the automatic mode. I love the digital macro and portrait settings for blurring backgrounds. It's an 8 megapixel camera.
