help me decide on a new camera!

Well, It wasn't batteries. So now I need a new camera. I've been without now for over a month or more. I 've been trying to use my camera on mine and my DH's cell phone but that is a joke. I want something under 200.00 and I want it to take pictures good in doors like the gym or church without it being blurry. I had a Kodak. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

Do you use a digital or a 35 mm camera? Sometimes I miss my 35 mm, because I get frustrated at blurry pics on my digital. I dont think its possible to take good pics in a gym. I do get frustrated with the lighting, and its probably my own lack of knowledge on how to set the lighting on my digital camera. I have a Sony Cybershot 4.1 megapixel. It takes great outside pictures and as long as my subject is still, it does okay. I do like the ability to upload to the computer as soon as I take a pic. Good luck finding one! Digital cameras have come way down in price the last few years, so you should be able to find a decent one for under $200.00. I wouldnt get less than a 4 or 5 megapixel.

No I don't used a 35 mm anymore. My broke. The only thing I really liked is that it did panorama. (Long skinny pictures) I was looking at the Kodak Z714 on eBay. You can get them for under 200.00. Does anyone have this one. You can also buy an attachment to take closer pictures.

I have the Canon PowerShot SD550 7.1 mega pixel. I love it. It has different settings for indoor, kids & pets, outdoor, etc. Takes excellent pictures.

We always check Consumer Reports, or Cnet.com for reviews on anything we purchase. They will give you info you need for making good choices.

I just checked cnet.com and this is their recommendations for 7.1 mega pixel cameras.

I love them because it fits in my purse. I am never anywhere, unless I don't carry my purse, without my camera. Love it! Tammy

I have a Kodak EasyShare CX7530, 5 megapixels. I'm quite pleased with it. It has various settings on a dial on top for sport, closeups, landscapes, nighttime, portrait, and also does videos. It's not as slim as some others I've seen, but it's not so heavy I can't take it with me.
