New LO's added

I finally got new battteries for my camera so I could show you the two page LO my NSSSF, Barb sent me. All I had to do was add photos. It is in Sandy's Album - "Pool Time" I also tried my hand at mosaic. I had some photos of our vacation in Savannah. DS thinks I ruined the photos by cutting them up, but I really liked the way it turned out. It's the last two pages under New Techniques. What do you think? And last but not least. I have used a few of the kits from the Rainbow Page Swap. They are in the Rainbow Page Swap Album.

Wow you've been busy. The LO Barb made is very nice. Man wouldn't it be nice to have beautiful LO's already made to just plug out pictures and journaling into. The mosaic turned out really nice too. How did you get the pieces all so straight? I also enjoyed seeing some of the rainbow swap colors used.

I was wondering now that your camera has fresh batteries in it if you wouldn't mind doing me a favor. I need a picture of the blue rainbow swap for M-C to put on the RCS website. I didn't make a kit for myself yet, so have nothing to take a picture of. Please, pretty please? :)

Those look great Sandy! Barb did a great job on your Pool Time layout. How wonderful of her to do that! I also really like your mosaic layouts. I just might have to try that sometime. And no, I don't think you ruined the photos. :-) You did great using the Rainbow pages! I haven't used mine yet, but I have them out so I can remember to use them. I'll also be using them with 12 x 12.

Sandy love the mosaic pages and what a great job Barb did on the pages! Did you buy one of the pre cut pages that you have to pop the squares out of? I think I've had a set of those sitting in my stash. Hmmm maybe I should try using it, LOL!

Great job to both of you!

Not this time, I actually cut every one of the pictures into 1' squares and fastened them down with a sticky tab, "one by one." with 4x6 pictures it was easy to cut them with my cutter and I laid out the pictures to see where they would go before I started, and did a strip off each picture across the bottom and up the side to get the rows straight before cutting up the rest of the pictures. As long as I cut one stirp off a picture at a time and fastened them down as I cut them again into the 1' squares I didn't have to deal with a puzzle of little pieces. Sandy

I really know the difference between 1' squares and 1" squares, but my fingers don't when it comes to the keyboard. Sandy

Your pages are wonderful Sandy. I love the flip flop tags on the Pool Time page, they are so cute. I love what you have done with the rainbow swap pages. Makes me want to pull mine out and use them. They are great.

Ooops! I forgot to look at the mosaic layouts. They are great. I need to try that technique some time.

That sounds like a really great way to do it. That way you don't get pieces in the wrong place by mistake or lose any.

I liked your Savannah pages and the way you did such a nice job on the mosaic with such straight edges! I am too scared to cut up a picture like that...LOL I noticed the huge bridge in the background of your picture! Did you have to drive over it? When I used to live in South Carolina, we went to Savannah and I remember having to cross that bridge! It was so high up in the air! Really cool! I would love to visit there again sometime. Linda C
