Those are wonderful layouts Sandy! What a great story of all your family living in the same house. I have to ask, how exactly did you do the bubbles with bleach? It makes for a really nice background!

I really like the LOs. I like the one of all the changes to the house with the sewn vellum envelope and like Deb I want to know about those bubbles, please.

Thanks Deb! I mixed equal amounts of bleach and bubble solution in a cup and (wearing goggles) blew bubbles with a straw. I then laid one edge of the cardstock flat on the bubbles. It looks real neat because it pops the bubbles on the paper. I had to keep blowing and work around the edge of the page. As it drys the color bleaches out. Sandy in Southern Indiana

Ooooh! You've inspired me to try some new techniques. I only scrapped about eight pages in 2004, that's all going to change in 2005!

I'm going try bubble wrap but with ink instead of paint?? I have a brayer and will try to ink the wrap with my brayer and then stamp the card stock.

The bleach/bubble combo looked great on your page and I want to try that too! Thanks for the inspiration!!

Enjoyed your albums. I love the bleaching affect in some of your pages. Those were awesome trees in the one layout, and the bubble were pretty cool too.

the goggles are to keep bleach from splattering into your eyes when you blow 'em and they pop. Safety first, special effects second.

Thanks! I like to try new techniques - the NOYBC has been an inspiration for me. It has been knid of expensive, but the books and new ideas have made it worth the money. My next kit has dried flowers, tiles & mica. Sometimes it takes me a couple of weeks of looking at the kit before I get my idea set. Sandy in Southern Indiana

Thanks! My daughter saw the cardstock after I got it done and demanded I use it for a LO for her. Her school pic had just the right colors to work with the background. Sandy in Southern Indiana
