Thanks for doing this Lori!!! I am now home! I am so happy to be here. I had a late discharge so just now able to get online and tell you all. I was only supposed to go for blood work and renewed RXs. I was feeling my usual breathless self and didn't think much of it. Aha! The doctor said she could not allow me to leave the office in that condition! I was just trying to compute the word "hospital" when one of the office gals came in and said we have her booked in TCU. I blinked back the tears and said couldsomeone send my husband in here? He was stunned also but they left us no choice...they kept saying I'm sorry dear but we just have to do this.I could never let you leave like this. I was a direct admit to the Unit and they were all ready for me! I was needle stuck and monitor plastered and O2 hooked up faster than you could say Dr. Pepper! This was around 10 a.m. I had been fasting for my blood work at the office,so I had to remain fasting while they did more blood. Then they checked my sugar with their machine and it hurts a lot more than mine! Had a lot of stuff "NOW" and was up and down on a stretcher so that when I got back to my room, my lunch had been delivered but was cold. Magically, a hot one appeared. I have to say I was pampered and cared for. Great hospital. Wonderful staff. The Cardiologist issuper.Lovely lady who sat by me and held my hand when I had the stress ekg and the scan. The Pulmonary doc was great..put me on O2 and is ordering it for home use after I get my tests Wednesday. That is for Sleep apenea. Going to a Sleep Disorders Clinic Wed.night to sleep on a monitor and camera!! They said I would feel so much better once I got treatment. They think a lot of my shortness of air is from that. Of course I am always tired . Well, I was so rested and taken care of that my B/P actually was the lowest it has been in years! Four days of bed rest does wonders. My arms are black and blue! I have the worst veins in the world. My I V had to be started three times. Everytime they came to draw blood for tests...they had to stick at least two times. I was a real fashion plate with my peek-a-boo back gown. My little roomie and I would check each other out when we got up to the bath room,to make sure we were not mooning the people in the hall! LOL I always get a huge gown so I can wrap it around me. Well that is enough for now. I have to go rest now.I sat down first chance I got to go online and talk with my scrap-buddies. Tried to coax Fred into bringing my camera so I could take everyone's pictures but he drew the line.He looked at me as if I had a serious mental flaw! LOL I really cracked up when my nurse said Oh! I am a scapbooker ,too! You should bring her the camera,Fred!! LOL
