Sharng some news

Hi gang! I think you will recall that I am going to get another grandchild in November,my youngest,Kate is expecting her first. She is now going into her sixth month and everyone was so sure it was going to be a boy...her DHs family just makes lots of boys,we just started thinking of him that way. Well, got a new ultra sound yesterday and......IT'S A GIRL !!!! We didn't realise that all of our family had hoped it was a little girl until Kate came bursting into the room with the news. We have called everybody and all of his family is happy, too because there are no little girls! So this young lady is going to be well loved and well spoiled! Tentativly she will be named Madison Taylor ,Taylor being a family name from his side.We are already thinkng of her as Maddie. Okay...end of Grandma bragging! :-)

Congratulations!! Can we say "spoiled rotten little girl"? LOL But it'll be all those good ways to spoil a little girl. Is she going to be surrounded by little boy cousins?

That's great news Sabrina. Our family would have loved to have girls. I have 2 sisters. and we all had boys. No girls. Oh well.

Congrats.

I know you are excited!!! I'm sure Maddie will be very very SPOILED!!! Though she deserves to be if she's the only little girl in the family!

Ouuu lucky and excited grandma!!! Have fun spoiling her!

I think we are all starting to have baby longing in here, lol with all the births and baby pictures floating around! Maybe I should drive those 9 hours to Atlanta and go play with my little niece!!!

Yes, those little boy cousins are already getting excited. They are all pretty young and they know Kate has a baby "in her tummy" and they can hardly wait. It will be exciting to have a little one close to home ,too. Our youngest is almost ten years old and lives in Fla. This little sweetie will be only blocks away and Granddad and I have already volunteered for baby sitting privileges. LOL

I love that we are getting girls! I had four brothers and just me. I always wanted a sister so I was thrilled when I turned out to have three girls of my own plus two boys.

Great news! I'm glad you will have one close by. All of mine except one live within an hour's drive. I have one in Myrtle Beach and only get to see him three times a year. My Lily was the only granddaughter for 5 years and loved it. She had a brother and two cousins. Last year my DD had another little girl and we worried at first that Lily wouldn't adjust because she insisted all along that she was the only girl and Mommy would have a boy. She makes a great "big sister." Grandpa spoils them both....... Sandy

LOL Lori, Kate was actually skipping when she came in the door! I did not know she could get any more excited about this baby. She was thrilled when she was convinced it was a boy, we all were, but a little girl is just so easy to find beautiful little clothes for and dream of all the special things that girls love to dream . I am making her announcements, at her request, and now I have more focus for my design.

HEH HEH Dave. We are already planning who in the family is going to give them what! Being their first,of course they need everything. So Her boss is buying them the crib,we are buying a fancy stroller of some sort...the one she wants and Jill is buying her a rocking chair glider. My DB Jim is going for the high chair and my SIL is buying the play pen. Course these are just the big things. Everybody plans on geting cute little baby stuff as well. It has been a long time since we had a new baby in the family. We are all ready and willing baby sitters. LOL
