Karen, I couldn't get to your page with the link you gave, but was able to get there through your RCS gallery link I love page 6 with the preprinted vellum - am going to have to find some for DD's album. Your border and matting on the with this ring page really make the photo stand out. What a wonderful idea to include the cards. You are right, they are too pretty to stick in a box in a drawer out of sight. Thanks for sharing. Sandy

Aren't they just! I didn't make them though... wish I knew how! I bought them from a lady on Ebay. For some reason her stuff was going very cheap and I paid five dollars US for that large paper piecing...

There's a story about the wedding ring... we were going to use a silver ring John bought me a few years ago, but I thought it was a bit big... on the way to the wedding we stopped at Publix to get our little cake etc, and there was a craft market outside with a jewellery stall selling silver stuff - the ring matched my engagement ring perfectly so we bought it, but it only stayed on my finger for ten minutes. When we were cutting the cake I looked down and one of the stones had fallen out of it already! I was disgusted so I put that ring away and put on the celtic ring that we'd been originally going to use. It turns out that it wasn't too big after all...

Just do the album one page at a time and you'll be surprised how fast it goes... I did the first eight pages all in one night because they were quite simple and then I put it away and came back to it months later and did a few more... and now I've gone back to it again and this time I think I'll actually get it done because I'm running out of photos to use! It probably makes it easier that we only HAD about thirty wedding photos taken...

Thanks Cathy! I decided to put the cards in because a)we might need to show them to Immigration when we get to our interview in a few years time... and b)since we only had about thirty photos and three guests there really wasn't a lot of material for me to use, so I wanted to 'stretch' it a bit. Plus I love beautiful cards and I'm the sentimental type who keeps everything :)

Thanks Sandy. Sorry the link didn't work! I got the vellum quote at the LSS - they had them for all occasions. There are a few 'cat' quotes that I'd love to buy too... I know I could type them myself and print them out but I don't have any vellum that actually fits through the printer :( Anyone know where you can get it?!

I don't know about the vellum in 12x12, I buy 50 sheets at a time on ebay of the 8.5x11. I wish I had a 12x12 printer to make my own transparencies.. I buy my transparencies in 12x12 from clearbags.com. They sell it in so many different transparent colors which are great for overlays. I recently did an LO of a trip to an aquarium with DS and covered the entire LO with a light blue overlay. It was a neat effect. I also did a recipe page where I cut a white/opaque transparency to resemble a tupperware bowl over my 7 layer salad. Sandy

Michaels sells packages of 8 1/2 x 11 vellum.

I liked looking at your wedding album. your hard work really shows! :-) I would love to work on mine someday! The vellum question...I have some 12x12 vellum, and I have cut it down to 81/2 by 11 to fit into the printer when I needed to, and I save the scraps leftover for borders or whatever else I can think of to use it up.

I hope mine goes fast. I am planning on keeping them simple! I don't think I could do 8 pages in one night though. Oh my! I would lucky to get 4-5 done.
