You did a wonderful job, Karen! Is this what you want scanned? You know if it is 8x8 you can go to Kinko's and copy it on one of their color copiers and then just get a couple of 8x8 albums to stick the copies in. I did copies of 12x12 pages a few years ago of my BILs wedding album and most people, even scrappers can't tell when they first look at the book that the pages aren't original.

One other thing you can do is when you do that or digital pages and want to give it more depth is to add a few real embelishments back on the copies. I did that when I reprinted the scans of my MIL's wedding album lost during Katrina. Since I'm a packrat, I still had some of the original embelishments. It looked almost like the original and felt more like it to. In some cases I also reprinted the photo and stuck it on top of the original.

Hmmm I'm rambling! Time to go and finish October in my nieces First Year scrapbook journal!

I thought about doing that too... but aren't 8x8 albums expensive? It's a question of what's the cheapest way to do this... I'm so broke now it's not funny - I don't have any of my own money left and we can't afford to take anything out of the household budget for crafts :( John dinged up the front of his car and had to get it fixed, and they charged us two hundred bucks for the rental car, and another couple of hundred for the repairs... that's with insurance of course - they said the actual repairs cost $3500! (shudders)

Karen, I love the lively and vividness of your album! It's really beautiful. You know, my best friend is getting married in a few weeks time and asked me to do her wedding album. Her colour scheme is also red, white and black - hope you don't mind if I borrow a few ideas :)

I hope ppl will forgive all the piggybacking I'm doing these days, but I only viewing the unread messages to save time. With my vendoring even next weekend, I'm quite busy getting my business all fixed up and going again.

I've been taking a quick look around for less expensive 8x8 albums, Karen and there are some out there. That is if under $10 is acceptable. JoAnn's has some wedding looking ones at $9.99 and I believe Target has some even lower than that. A cheaper option and a more flexible one I think, would be to just make your own, with cardstock and covered chipboard or foam board.

Thanks MC! I don't know what I'll end up doing - atm nothing because we're broke! We ended up buying a car yesterday, and it's lovely but it costs a lot more each month than we planned on paying, because they got us a loan with lower interest but over a shorter period of time, so sacrifices will have to be made :(

Karen, I don't know what is going on with my OE newsgroup, but the messages are all screwed up/out of order/ and many of the posts are not showing up except as piggybacks of other messages. I've been gone since Friday morning and when I checked the mail I had over

200 messages and evidentally many are missing to boot..... Just got a look at your album. It is wonderful! DH and I just recently had our 32nd anniversary. We went to the JP to get married and have no pictures except for the one my grandmother took of us when we stopped at her house before leaving town that night. You have something to treasure and look back on. Sandy

Sandy, ever thought of making a momento's wedding album? I'm just thinking of stuff like taking pictures of your wedding rings, perhaps your marriage certificate, if you still having something of what you were wearing that day, how you got there? - perhaps a pic of your DH's old car, and journaling all your memories of the day. I don't know what JP is, but if it's something like the courthouse, you could even take a picture of that. Also, maybe you could track your local newspaper back then and see what was in the headlines that day and maybe they also published all the marraiges. Okay I'm rambling...lol

That's a great idea, Judy. I'd never thought of that. JP is a Justice of the Peace (sort of like a courthouse official) We went to her house and were married in her office there. The house is still standing. I still have the dress - it was the same one I made for my high school graduation and wore under my graduation gown. I could take a photo of the material, blow it up and use it as part of the background. You've got me thinking..... Thanks, Sandy
