Lucky you April.....I am thinking about the Craft Robo and I run it by DH today. He says it is up to me......yah!!!!! I will research further before I dive in but I feel that each of the new systems have there pros and cons...so I would like to be really sure as the Craft Robo if three+ times the price of the Xyron. I don't think the others are available in the UK yet.....so I may wait a little longer to see if I can catch demos at some of the exhibitions.

Have fun with your new toy, Marilyn

How cool April!! I think the Cricut would be a great tool to have. When I saw you purchased the animal kingdom I was going to ask if it had a cow. LOL

Creative Express has a special on these if you buy a bundle package. I almost splurged and bought one.

I saw it on QVC the other night also. I'm hoping that the price will come down in time. I'm thinking its one of those things I'm just going to need. LOL! Congrats on your new purchase April.

I believe i got my cricut-with 2 cutting pads, one cartridge, and all the info papers for $264(they run $299 at micheals), then each extra cartridge was $72 each. I bought 2 extra pads, pkg of blades and one sizzlit set of flowers.

Wow..that is so awesome. I've been eyeing it at Michaels for a while now. Really hoping someone would buy it for me, but I may have to break down and do it myself. You really do have some cool toys. You got a great deal on it too!! Way to go!

Congrats!

Have fun playing w/your new toy!

I want to get one soon! I saw it on QVC before it was available for sale they were only doing pre-orders then.

I like the DOODLE cartridge which is ONLY available for QVC! You get both cartridges GEORGE & DOODLE! The CRICUT reminds me soo much of my brothers GERBER SCIENTIFIC SIGN MACHINE which gets hooked up to his PC & COST $2,000.00.

This is a min-version of it! I plan on using his leftover vinyl (kinda like stickers) since they have a sticky backing, cutting the roll of vinyl down to size to fit the CRICUT cutting board! So having a better way to recycle ALL this vinyl for my craft projects & making my own magnet signs for my SUV, etc. should be fun! While @ AC MOORE I bought the XYRON (pink) Personal Cutting System using a 50% off coupon & my FREE $100.00 AC MOORE GIFTCARD I got from NEWSDAY @ AC MOORE during a Craft Fair a few months ago.

That is the system Lynne and I saw being demo'ed out in Monterey at a craft store. We thought that it looked more for the money as the cartridges for it were cheaper and had more designs i them.

As the market smoothes out with all of the new fangled things maybe prices will drop where more of us 'commoners' can get one!

I bought mine the first week in May a couple of days before Michaels offically launched them at their store. They let me use the 40% off coupon (I think they have stopped that now) and I got it for $180 plus tax.

That's what I did too. Love the bug. Had some problems tho and had to deal with Cricut customer service. They were courteous and replaced my machine toot sweet. Paid for the shipping both ways too. I am back in action.

The new machine they sent was a little different from the old. The dials have numbers now instead of those graphic bars. Have only done some practice cuts and am looking forward to the weekend.

enjoy your bug and never buy without that 40% off (they still take it for cartridges and mats)

cheers, Lenora

Mine already had numbers so I guess I lucked out. I have used a 40% off coupon at AC Moore for each cartridge bringing the price down to $54 each. The Michaels and JoAnn here won't let you use the coupons for anything for cricut so I just spend my scrapping dollars at AC Moore.
