DIY today...

I'm so excited! I'd actually seen the episode today, but rewatched it anyway... But I came up with a new idea that I'm thrilled about... I'm making reusable gift bags for this Christmas (get tired of wasting money on the paper ones and have a "no-sew" pattern for cloth ones so...) .. Anyway, I was planning on die cutting the tags and embellishing with some Jolee's I've got for addressing. I was feeling kinda bummed though because I didn't want to "waste" the embellishments on just an "address label" so to speak. Anyway, while watching the show today one of the ladies was doing "folded tags" and show how to do it. She put the fold line just inside the die cut line and then punched it out so that it was basically two tags attached as one. So, I'm watching this and I thought COOL, now instead of throwing the tags away, I can address the front of the tag with just the embellishments, the person's name and the date (Christmas 2003) and then put any other info inside and when the present is unwrapped they can just cut the back part off and use the front as an ornament on their tree! Anyway, don't know why I didn't think of it before, but wanted to share the idea in case someone else hadn't thought of it either... Will share with you what I do when I get done with the tags...
