My workspace

Since other people were sharing their workspaces I thought I'd do the same... I got the digital camera out and took a pile of photos of the area as-is... in otherwords, my usual mess! It can't really be that messy because it's the corner of our living room, but it's not exactly a wonderful arrangement. I really need some shelves! I made yet another webshots album to share the photos and wrote descriptions attached to each one...

You've got lots of stuff. A true scrapper. Where did you get that neat purple embellishment holder that snaps shut.

They're new this year... the LSS got some from the big scrapbook show. It was $36 but it's got over 50 little drawers and a latch for each strip. It's called a 'craftmate' and I love it! When I saw it I just HAD to have it... especially since the store also had a 'get 25% off a single item' voucher in their catalogue :) ~Karen aka Kajikit Crafts, cats, and chocolate - the three essentials of life

See the answer I just wrote for Scoutlady... it's called a 'craftmate' and it's new - but very handy :) I love it and when it's full I'll probably try to talk my hubby into buying another one. The only thing I don't love about it is that the containers have straight sides and square bottoms - if they made one with rounded drawers it would be perfect. I left my punchies and sequins in the fishing tackle boxes because they're rounded... it's too hard to get little flat things out of the drawers. ~Karen aka Kajikit Crafts, cats, and chocolate - the three essentials of life

Great scrapping/computer area. I like the grey furry desktop decoration (Scout). :-)

I like her too... she's pretty good about not interfering with my crafting - it's her sister Silver who's an incoragable paper-chewer... I have to throw my scraps of paper down on the floor behind me so that she'll have something to play with and she won't try (too hard) to eat my cards or pages! If she decides to jump on the desk as well there just isn't any room left for me :) ~Karen aka Kajikit Crafts, cats, and chocolate - the three essentials of life

Thanks... there's only one problem with it - it's my living room and it's the first thing you see as you walk in the front door... there's also no room for a dining table because the computer cart takes up so much room! The back room was meant to be our craft/computer room but this desk is too wide to fit through the door, so we had to leave it out in the living room. Meanwhile the spare room isn't even being used except for junk! Hmm, maybe we should put a dining table in there instead? :) ~Karen aka Kajikit Crafts, cats, and chocolate - the three essentials of life

I like the drawers - and you have everything so organized. I go to several crops and find I do most of my scrapping there so I keep most of my supplies in the toolbox. Then when I'm at home I have to constantly lift off the top one to get to the lower one. Sandy

Your scrap corner is so neat and organized. I can't wait to have an area just for my scrapbooking stuff. You have a lot of goodies, a true scraper in deed. Thanks for sharing.

Karen, MY workplace, err SPACE is in a corner of my lr too. What I fond to be VERY USEFUL, a computer desk with the hutch top on it. It gives you STORAGE space and shelves!!!

Hey it is a tip and they can de found fairly cheap.

I really like your workspace! It looks efficient and everything is within easy reach! I have seen those black plastic floor standing drawers/organizers and I would love to have one! I have organized my scrap area three times. It is in a corner of my bedroom. Not happy with it yet..soon...soon...lol vacation starts next Saturday!

I like your scrappping space Karen. Where did you get the box that you have your 3-D letters in?

I have a cat in a box too. Only mine is about twice the size of yours!

Our kitties aren't a year old yet... they've had a growth spurt recently but they're not quite at full size. :)

I got the storage box from the fishing section of Kmart... they sell them for putting fishing lures etc in :)
