spending my birthday money in advance

I own the personal sizzix machine and love it. The big ticket item I wish I had was more alphabet dies especially lowercase ones.

I agree with Kate. I wish I had more alphabet dies for my sizzix. Although it is fun to buy a big ticket item, sometimes it is lots of fun to get lots of little things too.

Hmm... I don't want to get into sizzix - it sounds like an endless money pit to me! My idea of 'big ticket' is something that costs more than $20 or so... Last year I was tempted by the Fiskars stuff - the board and embossing stuff and cutter and templates and I almost spent my birthday money on a kit. I need a crop bag of some sort or good paper storage as long as it's catproof (they're paperchewers of the first order) Alas a 12" cube would just leave the paper open to nibbling... and I still don't have a paper trimmer or cutter. I left all my punches behind in Australia - they're pretty expensive too but I'd like to get more. My first thought was to suggest a rolling bag of some kind. Not only does it make for great storage, but if you want to go to a crop it's very easy to bring your supplies along. Mine cost about $50 at one of those warehouse stores a few years ago, so I'm sure it a bit more now, but totally in your birthday budget leaving you some money to get a pair each of the different Honey Bee scissors. I have 2 pairs that I JUST LOVE. I see now they've answered my need for a big pair of Honey Bee scissors. I think they are called Queen Bee scissors.

My suggest also would have been the sizzix machine. I love my machine. And like the others I wish I had the alphabet sets (I don't own a set yet but that goal is to have a set by the end of summer). I really can't think of anything else. When I go to Michaels and don't really have the money to spend I can find all sorts of things but when I have the money to spend it takes me for ever to find stuff. Don't get it. I guess I'm a more of "I want person" then a "I need" person. LOL!
