My Craft Room

John paid our neighbour to finish painting our apartment for us before Christmas, so it has nice colour on the walls, but my craft desk ended up a MESS because I had to take my hanging storage down and I didn't have anywhere to put stuff! Here's what it looked like on New Years Eve...

Yesterday I cleared it off and changed the plastic tablecloth for a new one. Then I rearranged a bit and made it all TIDY and clear - and guess what? I actually have a clear space to work in!

All I need now is my shelves, and I'll be able to finish the job... we asked our landlord about them today and he says we can have as many shelves as we want - just make sure we put them up properly! :)

It looks great Karen! Now that you have a tidy craft space, you can get back to work. LOL I know I always feel more creative when I have a clear area to work in.

You have a lovely space to work in. I really like the little trash can on your table. I'm always using a paper bag on the floor or a plastic one hanging on the back of a chair.

I got it at the Dollar Tree in the back-to-school sale last year... it's a really handy thing to have when it comes to helping keep things tidy - I just go and empty it into the big trashcan when it fills up. I wouldn't really want to have a bigger wastepaper basket than that - this way I HAVE to empty it at least once a week!

Karen,

You did a great job organizing your stuff! Now having more shelves & more space to be totally organized w/a clear workspace for projects.

Happy New Year!
