redoing craft room

Sep 24, 2007 8 Replies

Went to Amarillo yesterday to Home Depot. We were looking at unfinished cabinets first then the white and brown already painted ones....then went to the closetmaid section. I finally decided on the silver heavy( I mean heavy!) ones that show to be used in a garage. We got 2 with doors and one with drawers. Then hubby went back today and got the tall cabinet. He is going to put a support base on the bottom instead of the skinny legs it had and build a table type work table on top for me to work on. So long story shorter!... My room is a HUGE mess!. I can't find nothing I want and finding stuff I looked for months ago.

After the new year I will get another set the exact same to go down my other wall. My old cabinet will go out in the garage for storage. I am happy with the MORE stoarge!!! for my addiction!

It may be a mess now but imagine what you are going to have! how exciting!

The metal cabinets would be magnetic. Just think of what you could put on the outside, more storage holders, or even pictures.

And do we get to see pictures when it's done? Before the first of the year?!?!? hmmmm???

Yes! Pictures! Show us the evolution of your crafting space. :) It's always fascinating to see chaos gradually resolved into order...

Woohoo! I know it's probably a disaster right now, but just keep thinking of how wonderful it's going to be when you're done. And yes....we had better see pictures!

Just think of what a wonderful organized space you will have when you are done!

I don't think they are metal though. they appear to be painted to look like metal. They were sturdier then some of the other white closetmaid stuff. They have some granite textured spray in the paint department I could use to make extra shelves inside though.
