Our Christmas Day :)

We had a very quiet christmas, just me and John and the cats... I decided to take lots of photos since we didn't have anywhere particular to go or anything we HAD to do...

On Christmas Eve we went to church for the carol service (yes that's me on the left helping lead):

Then we went to look at christmas lights (sadly my camera can't handle photographing them because I don't have a tripod) and we had a nice dinner at Smokeybones... then it was home to relax and enjoy our quiet little Christmas together. :) We slept in on Christmas morning and took our time... first we gave the girls their Christmas stocking, sprinkled with catnip to keep them happy...

Tessica grabbed her new toy and ran, and didn't stop running for an hour!

When the girls had finished playing and gone off to rest, John and I exchanged our christmas stockings and small gifts (we got the big ones well before christmas)

And then John relaxed while I cooked our Christmas dinner, and eventually it was time to eat. John carved the turkey...

This is my plate of goodness... I didn't have the makings for gravy (the turkey didn't have any fat ON it! and I like to cook my poultry in a water-bath for moistness), so I use the pan juice to moisten my plate.

While we relaxed in the bedroom, the girls cadged some of my turkey that I couldn't finish...

We nibbled on our 'dessert' at suppertime because we were too stuffed to want to eat anything else before then - a sour cream apple pie topped with a pecan/coconut crumble topping (blonde because we didn't have any brown sugar), and a plate of rumballs.

And here's our fridge bursting with leftovers next day... anyone want to come pay a visit and help us eat them? :P

There are a lot more photos in the album, should you choose to view them -

PS. I put all my Christmas cards at the end of this album, including a bunch I made last week. The only ones that didn't make it in were the dozen last-minute ones I had to make when I realised I was short a few!

loved all your pictures and your cards are just great. I especially loved the cats ones. I have a lot of cats. You did a great job on all of them. Thanks for sharing.

Great pictures of your Christmas Karen. I can't believe how each of your cards are so different and so nice. My brain just doesn't work that way.
