I agree with this post! Christmas doesn't start until after the Thanksgiving dishes have been cleaned and put away. I read that in a newsgroup somewhere. (I've slept since then so don't ask me where)

That's for the Mrs. to worry about. I'm busy. I've got football to watch, beer to drink and bongs to smoke.

Chirp Chirp ,Forgive me for top posting but I am posting thru MSN/tv and we just have this discuss page to use . Now that out of the way...I agree with you about Christmas decorations going up too early. lol I am a Christmas fan and love to decorate but I also like the Thanksgiving celebration and I think one should have some weeks before Christmas deorations come out. We too, have neighbors that already have their outside decorations up. I even see some Christmas trees in homes ! But on the positive side, it gives lots of oportunity for pictures to be taken and scrapbooking to be done before all the festivities get going.

LOL Sabrina! Thank goodness our Canadian Thanksgiving is in October! I have already started my lights outside, but then I just do not want to freeze putting up Christmas lights! Mind you, they never get turned on until December 5th.

Shelley , I can see why you all would put up your lights early! Sometimes we wait just a little too long and DH comes in with frozen fingers and toes. It is a bit cold here now but no snow.

A neighbor close by alread has their house all decked out for Christmas. I was tempted to knock on their door and ask them if they realized it was Thanksgiving.

Something just isn't right about decorating for Christmas before Thanksgiving is even gone by.

The Mrs. wants me to put them up and take them down every year. I told her if they're going up, they're going up in the fall and they're staying up for good or she can take them down herself.

We still don't have any house lights up.

It is cold here now too. :( We had a bit of snow the other day, but it did not stay. :)
