Hi,
I'm new to creating cards and wondered if anyone had ideas of where to find information on the basic principles of it. All help and advice is appreciated.

I would start at the local rubber stamp store. See if they give a basic 101 class. Then look at the magazines. Take Ten, Paper Crafts, Rubber Stamper, are good and there or others.
Also look for a group like Stampin' Up or Close to My heart for some hands on training. remember those groups want you to buy their supplies. Archiever's have stores around the country and give excellent classes. They also have a small online shop.
As far as website, here are a few of my favorites Addicted to rubber Stamps - for supplies and stamps Excellent turnaround time and Customer Service is a DREAM COME TRUE.
You could also check out your local scrapbook store. Most of them have card making classes too. There is also a magazine called Card Maker that is very good.
Thanks for the information and all the great resources. I am planning on having fun today researching through them. Yesterday I had a great deal of fun just buying papers. I didn't know that there was so much stuff out there.
Thanks again, Georgia
Hi Georgia
I have found books a great resource. If you have access to a library, try borrowing a few books to get an idea of what is useful for you and what you like. If a library is not near, go to the bookstore and take a good browse before you buy, since some books are more instructional than others. As well some may not suit your particular style.
One book I swear by is: The papercrafter's bible by Elizabeth Mold. It highlights several techniques that can be used in card making.
