CD Calendar Stand Idea

I've been brainstorming on what to do with my months and was looking around Splitcoaststampers.com gallery. I also started thinking how I'd go about displaying the calendar and came across this photo. They made calendars that fit into CD cases, but made me think why I couldn't use a case to display the decorated CDs too. I'm going to see it I can get it to work.

Mine stood straight up and wouldn't lean (like the picture), which would work for me as I'm going to display the calendar in a high spot. The CD of course wouldn't stay on the lid in that position, BUT Sandy said she leaves the back blank. SO, I could put a bit of adhesive to stick it on until I replaced it with the next month.

I just bought a little clear plastic plate stand at Michaels. It cost 1.99. It's the tiny ones for small plates.

I was thinking of a plate stand as well. They have really nice smaller ones at Wal-Mart that would be perfect for a CD and they are only a buck. But I do like the CD case idea. I might have to play with that one.

I was wondering whether it might work to ppke a small hole in the center of the CD (where the hole already is) and hang them on the wall on nails...

I was thinking about using the magnetic tape or cutting the magnetic business card blanks up and sticking it on the back of mine so you could put them on the fridge. It's not like we care if we demagnitize the back of the cd.

I was able to open a CD case and stick the CD on to the black holder part. It's a really thin CDR case. I was able to swing the cover open and past the hinged area and use it as the base. DH bought some yogurt covered pretzels at Wal Mart a few weeks ago, the kind in the round, plastic containers. We just emptied the container last week. I've already washed it out and that is what I'll keep my CD calendars in. I hope that all makes sense, especially about the case. If not, and anyone needs pictures, let me know and I'll upload a pic.
