CD calendar idea

Did you know the Crop-A-Dile will punch a hole in a CD? :-) It will. I didn't know that. DH was needing to render a CD useless due to the data on it. So he picked up my Crop-a -dile and used the snap setter. It dented it, which rendered the CD useless, but he wanted a hole. I showed him how to use the hole punch on it and viola! One CD with a hole. I didn't know it would do that!

This morning I remembered that and remembered Sandy's CD calendar and put 2 and 2 together to come up with 4. (A big accomplishment for me at 6:00am.) I'm thinking I may try a CD calendar, but punch holes in the CDs. Then I can keep them together with a ring, or be able to hang them on the wall, etc.

Very clever. I don't think I could think that clearly at 6:00 in the morning. LOL.

The new Bind It All I just recently got from M-C is supposed to be able to do the same thing--but multiple holes to put a comb in to make a book!! Can't wait to try that out on my retreat this weekend!! :-)

I hadn't thought about making a calendar out of cds, great idea, Deb! :-)

Great idea, Deb. I think I will do that with the one I already have to keep them together. Thanks.....don't we come up with some great ideas in the early hours.... Sandy

I don't understand how you make a calendar out of CD's.

Go to Sandy's webshots. She has pictures of a calendar she made out of altered cd's very cute.

LOL I don't even pretend to think at 6:00am, usually. I'm the type of so-non-morning-person that I have to start a back-to-school routine 2 weeks before school starts. LOL

I can't take credit for the CD calendar idea. Sandy did it at her LSS. I just expounded on it.

We? No, I'm sure this was a once in a lifetime thing for me. I never come up with even bad ideas early in the morning. LOL

Don't you just love the Crop-a-Dile? DS was trying to punch holes with it the other day, but 6 yr old hands just can't manage that wide grip.

Sandy did it at a LSS class. Basically, you take a CD, and decorate one side with paper, ribbon, buttons, etc. Then just print out a little calendar and put one month on a CD. So you end up with 12 CDs, one for each month. I hope that helps!

Yes I do love it. I too love that Logan can't use it! LOL I would have holes in everything!

YET.....

I hope it's a while till he figures it out. But I wouldn't bet against the little guy!
