Crop-A-Dile

I was at Achiever's the week before last for one of their Friday night scrap mania sessions. I received a few of their hand-outs. In one I saw the "Crop-A-Dile" tool which is advertised to be an all-in-one hole punch and eyelet setter. It looks like a hole punch on steroids.

I was surprised to see a tool that I had not heard about. So I thought that I'd ask about it on RCS! :-)

Has anyone used a crop-a-dile? Do you like it? They claim it is silent. It looks like it would not require the little black pad like the Silent Setter. Does it take a special eyelet size? What are the side "hooks" for?

TIA!

I have only seen the video

You don't need the pad and according to the video the side hooks appear to be the paper puncher, one is 1/8 and the other 3/16. It appears to be limited to me in that I can't see how it work if you want to set an eyelet anywhere but on the edges on the paper.

I have it and it works great so far! The things on the side punch your holes either a small or regular size and you can adjust it so goes in a set depth of your paper so all the eyelets on a page line up. It takes just a light squeeze to set your eyelet, squeeze too hard and you'll squish the top side. Very easy to use. The one drawback- you can onlt go an up to an inch into your paper but if you want th eyetel around a jornaling block or something you can do that and then attach it to your page! HTH Barb:o)

This video is great! Thank you! Yes, I agree about the limited area. I applied the same logic to the stapler. I decided the added cost for the "bigger" tool wasn't worth it.

I think I'm going to have to put this tool on my wish list!

Amy...these are fantastic. The side hooks are actually punches and there is a measuring piece to an inch so you can get a straight line of holes.

I have used it the you squeeze the eyelet shut and yes, it is quiet and I love it.
