New tool that is just awesome!

Hi, Ladies. I was just wondering if anyone else has seen or used these new tools for eyelet setting. I saw them at Walmart the other day and just had to give it a try and they work wonderful! So much easier than the normal hole punch and setter. But this tool comes in 3 sizes for 3 different size holes. The tool actually looks like a funky pen. It has the hole punch on one end and the setter on the other end for that particular size eyelet. In the middle is a spring with some kind of metal thing inside it. But you put the hole punch where you would want the hole, hold it straight up, one hand on one end and then you pull the other end up and let go (kind of like you do with a pinball machine) and it makes the hole and doing the other end the same way, sets it! It is so cool!

that is really easy sounding, and it probably would not wake the baby up. I might have to investigate that one.

CM has a new tool that I am wanting to try. It looks like a ruler and it has fiber loops all the way down it. You put it on your page and use it as a guide to write straight. The fiber loops are there so that you can drop down the sticks for the p's q's and so forth. It is really interesting. Anyone tried it or something like it? CM has never let me down in the past.

I have one. It's quite clever, and works well, especially for folks who are "pen writing phobic".

Hi Jennifer! I read your post and HAD to reply!! YES I have seen this tool. I didn't know that Walmart sold it tho! How much was it? I went to the Heartland Scrap and Stamp show in Bloomington Illinois a couple of months ago, and there was a vendor there that demonstrated it. I don't remember the brand name of it, but I do recall him using the thing like a "spring action" that does the force of punching the hole. He let everyone try it too. I liked it, but the reason I didn't buy that particular one was because it was $30.00!! I ended up buying the Silent Setter instead, and I got it for $2 off the regular price at $17.99. Have you ever seen that one? It works good and "silently" too, but for those who have carpal tunnel syndrome, it might not work so good , because you have to use the palm of your hand to press the setter. I sometimes still use my old setter, on the eyelets that might give me some trouble. Linda C Illinois

That sounds like a great idea! Part of the reason I don't want to journal in my own handwriting is because I can't write straight to save my life! LOL. I could definitely use something like that!

Thank you so much. I was kinda skeptical about trying it since my CM consultant did not have it, but since someone else put their stamp on it, I will atleast give it a try. I know that everyone is different on what they like and dislike, but with CM, if someone says they like it, it is probably pretty good. Thank you Fiddy.

My LSS orders CM products if you ask them M-C, but they don't stock it as a rule.

Wow! I just did a quick search and there ARE consultants here! Thanks M-C! Never even would have thought about checking for them over here :)))

Next time I'm in walmart I'll have to look for this. I've been wanting to get the silent setter. Thanks for the heads up.
