What is your favorite tool, right now?

I know that our favorite tool changes from time to time. I'd be interested in everyone's response. Please keep in mind that by tool I don't mean something that can be used up like adhesive, or embellishments. Please remember this is a G-rated site! LOL

What is your favorite tool? Why is it your favorite tool? How do you use this tool?

Favorite tool: Crop-a-dile

Why? Because it punches through lots of cardstock at once, as well as metal. It's incredibly quiet!! I love that fact!!!

Uses: I used it to punch all the eyelet holes in my recipe swap, 4 each page, 13 pages. (I made one for my DM) I have also used it to punch holes in the cardboard photoboxes to turn them into ribbon spool holders/dispensers. I also used it to punch holes in 3 small metal buckets at Valentines Day to run ribbon through.

My crop-a-dile confuses me. I'll have to get it out with the directions and quit being such a wimp.

The tool I've used a lot lately may sound ridicules, but it's my CM mat. It has all these measurements on it and being an accountant in a former life I like to measure. haha I used it to line up my recipe swap. I've also been making a lot of cards from some scraps and I've been measuring them too. It's convenient for measuring and then it's out if I need to do any cutting or pounding.

Favorite! as in used the most recently? I would have to say my Cutter Bee scissors. Cutting out the popped-up portion of my stew on the recipe page for the swap. My local crop group happened to choose soups/stews for their recipe swap so I mad 24 LO's all total. Favorite as in love to use? My CM circle cutting system and mat. I can't crop without it. Sandy

It would have to be my Fiskars paper trimmer. I have the blue one with the metal area for measuring.

It is perfect for measuring accurately, I love the metal area and can see the measurements perfectly. It can cut a straight line and I feel I can never do anything without it. I would be lost without it and my pages would look wonky.

I trim and cut paper of course. I use the plastic guides on top to quickly and accurately trim thin borders around my photos or trim around journaling.

My favorite tool right now is BossKut.

It's really easy to use and to go from thin metal dies (QK, BossKut and Accucut) to thicher dies (Cuttlebug and Sizzlits).

I use it when I want a quick shape of alpha.

The BossKut may end up being replaced to some extent by my new QK Silouhette, but I doubt that it will be retired, it's just to easy to get something done really fast with it. Though one never knows, I just haven't had much of a chance to work with the Silouette yet! With surgery comming up, I've got so many things that need doing that I can't seem to concentrate on any one thing, LOL!

My Fiskars 12" paper cutter. I have one from SU, pretty much the same as the blue one you see with the metal plate, but mine is black instead of blue. I would be lost without it!

Well how else could I cut a straight line on paper? I can't cut a straight line with scissors if my life depended on it. It's so easy for me to cut exact measurements. Those who know me, know how much I like to know measurements. LOL

Ummm....let me think....to cut paper? And cardstock. And photos.

Mine is my Fiskars 12" cutter. I use it for everything

I use it for photos, cardstock, paper, measuring, I would be lost without it!

I dont measure a lot, but its there if I need it. It has a fold out extension and I mark common measurement for when I do actually measure..lol Mainly I use it to crop pics and mats and paper for scrapping and cardmaking.

What is your favorite tool? ToolS, for me. My Honeybee non-stick scissors, tweezerbee nonstick tweezers and both (12"&7") of my Cutterbee paper trimmers.

Why is it your favorite tool? The Cutterbee Is just my trimmer of choice. I love the non-stick scissors and tweezers. I'm so frugal that I cut my photo splits in half and sometimes even in fourths. These are great for cutting them w/. I also really like the precision tip. I do a lot of paperpiecing/ collage and the tweezers are good for holding the pieces after I've smeared glue on the back so I can place them in the right spot w/out any mess.

How do you use this tool? See above.

What is your favorite tool? I think right now it would have to be the Cricut.

Why is it your favorite tool? Well it is brand new and lots of fun to play with. Seriously I used it to make some embellishments for my recipe swap pages. I can see lots of way to use it on future layouts and cards.

How do you use this tool? I use it to cut out shapes and letters for my layouts and cards.

I never answered this first time round so I'll piggyback.

My favourite tool right now is definitely my Colluzzle... I use it so much that I wonder how I ever managed for six years without it! I just ordered five new/replacement templates and my fourth set of replacement blades... What do I use it for? Cutting tons of tags (so many that I wore out the templates and I've just ordered replacements...) It's great for making stuff for swaps or gifts because it's easy to do a lot of identical shapes quickly... and as I'm just finding out now you can do far more than just cut shapes with it... if you fold the cardstock or combine different templates, you can do variations.

I've actually been using my colluzzle, a very useful tool. I did finally have to break down and buy a new mat for it.
