Sorta OT: Now THIS is dedication!

MC is definately dedicated to her swaps. Out of concern for the pages coming in for Jessie's album, she decided to put up a bigger mail box today. I was over there today, and she got this idea to do this. First, she measured the bigger mail box to make sure the pages would fit....yep....10". Then we gathered the tools and mailbox and headed outside. It wasn't that easy seeing as how the previous owner was a carpenter and screwed the old mailbox to a piece of wood (which swelled due to moisture) then BOLTED that to the post. To top it all off, it started to rain before we completely had the new mailbox bolted down. Not only was it sprinkling, but also windy and cold. But MC was determined that Jessie's pages couldn't be bent. Now that's dedication! :-)

Ooooooo did you take a photo of "dedicated woman at work" Deb? M-C is such a sweetie to do that in horrible weather and it was great that she had a willing helper in you Deb. Stand up ladies and take a bow...round of applause everyone for a job well done....*clapping wildly*......hip, hip, hooray for M-C and Deb!!!!!!!!!!! Now all we need is kind, considerate mail personnel who will read the *DO NOT BEND* labels and take care not to damage the well-packed pages in good time :o)

Take care, Marilyn

That is true dedication! I haven't had the privilege of meeting Jessie, but I'm sure she'd be touched by your effort.

Oh my gosh Deb... what kind of scrapbookers are we? We didn't take a picture, but LOL, you should have seen us with wrench, screwdriver, hammer, and a variety of nuts and bolts and self tapping screws in our pockets, and well... it was a hoot when we weren't wanting to use 4 letter words (Deb's favorite being PITA) because the screws were stripped or crooked or one of us dropped a screw... LOL... you get the picture. Deb was such a patient sweetie! Thanks for all your help, Deb... now I guess I should go do some work on the kitchen... I've been working on getting my latest TLC recruit signed up...that's the second one this week...yepeee!!!

Wow M-C that is dedication. I wrote all over it "Do not bend" as you instructed, but figuring it was a wasted effort as the mail clerk snickered upon seeing it. Now I have no worries.

Is now a bad time to mention that I had a thought run through my mind this morning and it was to take my camera? Of course, my response was "Why would I need my camera???" LOL Not only dropping a screw, but forgetting what pocket a screw, nut, bolt, or screwdriver bit was in! LOL It really was pretty comical. You know I'll help you all I can. Have you asked your knee if you should do more work in the kitchen? :-)
